Big Springs in Island Park is where a natural big spring bubbles out of the ground forming the Buffalo River. Johnny Sacks Cabin is located at Big Springs. This was built years ago and many of the items and features are hand-built. Kids as well as adults enjoy watching and feeding the huge Trout in Big Springs right from the bridge. To get there just turn east on Big Springs Road from Hwy. 20 south side of Macks Inn. Follow the road until you arrive at the bridge over the Big Springs. Buffalo River offers a slow easy and fun 3 hour float trip. It is fairly shallow in most places and warm from the Big Springs. You can put in just down from Big Springs and float to Macks Inn. You can bring your own float boats or rent them right there at Macks Inn.
